We make wine a little differently around here.
Decant is a working urban winery and tasting room in Houston, where we make our wines on-site from grape to bottle. We’re a small, hands-on team that cares about great wine, good food and making people feel at home.
We’re currently growing our team and hiring for several part-time positions.
We’re looking for people who are dependable, personable and take pride in what they do. Wine knowledge is always a plus, but for our hospitality roles, a great attitude, strong work ethic and genuine interest in taking care of people matter even more.
We’re currently hiring:
Tasting Room + Events Associate
Part-Time · $9/hour + tips
Pour wine, take care of guests, run food and help us make the tasting room feel like somewhere people want to stay awhile. You may also work private events, wine club releases, classes and occasional festivals or off-site events.
Our tasting room is typically open to the public Thursday to Sunday according to the following hours: Thursday 4-10pm, Friday 4-11pm, Saturday 1-11pm, and Sunday 1- 8pm
Hospitality experience is a plus, but not required. Wine experience is a bonus — we can teach you that part.
Kitchen Associate
Part-Time · $9/hour + tips
Our kitchen team handles everything from prep and pizzas to appetizers, salads, desserts and event food, along with keeping the kitchen clean and organized. This role includes prep, cooking, plating and dishwashing.
Kitchen associates typically work in support of the tasting room hours above. The kitchen opens one hour before the tasting room shift and closes an hour before tasting room closes. Some earlier prep shifts may be available depending on events and food demand.
Kitchen experience is helpful, but not required. We’re looking for someone dependable, organized, comfortable working at a steady pace and willing to learn.
Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant
Part-Time · Flexible Schedule
We’re looking for an experienced, detail-oriented bookkeeper to help keep the business side of the winery organized.
You should be comfortable with day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, AP/AR and accounting software, and able to work independently with our ownership team. Quickbooks online and small-business experience is a plus.
Private Events Sales Coordinator
Part-Time · Flexible Schedule · Hourly + Commission
We host everything from birthdays and showers to company parties and private wine events, and we’re looking for someone to help us grow that side of Decant.
You’ll work with incoming inquiries, show prospective clients around the winery, help them find the right options for their event and follow up from first inquiry through booking. We’re also looking for someone who enjoys building relationships and bringing new events through the door.
Hospitality, venue, event or sales experience is a plus.
