This white wine is an ode to the best variety of aromatic wine grapes from Texas that still might be flying under your radar. For this blend, we crafted a wine composed of Viognier, Roussanne, and Albariño.
Harvested in mid-July 2023 in the Texas High Plains, the grapes were crushed and pressed to tank where the juice chilled and settled for two days. We then clean racked to our small concrete tank leaving the sediment behind. Fermentation began naturally and finished with fruit forward yeast. All lots were aged separately on lees until blended together. Aged for 10 months in 20% neutral/used French oak and 80% concrete.
A delightfully crisp white blend with aromas of tangerine, mango, gala apple, and honeysuckle from the Viognier, peach, Meyer lemon and chamomile from the Roussanne, and fresh honeydew, grapefruit and salinity from the Albariño.
